Welcome to the Goupil !

Just in front of the Ancienne Belgique, one of the most curious and interesting records shops in Brussels. On 2 levels, the basement is mostly devoted to CD's and nieuw records from cheap to full-price while upstairs you can find lots of vynils of all styles, second-hand and nieuw. They buy, sell and exchange records, CD's and DVD's and often are the last resort for finding or ordering vynils in Brussels! Don't forget the fidelity card (just an encoding in the computer so don't bother freaking out about loosing another card!) that might come handy if you're craving for music and are pennyless by the end of the month... The most striking particularity of this shop is that it's a REAL popular one: no need to pretend you're buying the last Celine Dion for your sister's birthday, you won't raise any eyebrow! But most of all, Goupil-O-Phone is a team of people that are there to help you by guiding you through the shop, giving you genuine advice (but hey, nobody's perfect!) or ordering records and DVD's and calling you when it's in the shop. They also can ship your orders. Yves :° is the founder member of the shop and knows his stock by heart. He will give you advice on the latest pop-rock-country as well as french stuff ('far as I know his main interests in music) as well as older records. He manages to keep up a juvenile interest for everything he doesn't know so don't be affraid to ask or give him tips about what you like, he'll always have an ear for what you're after! Marie aka Mad ;) , joinded the shop's team about a year ago. She loves alternative music, folk music and electro!! but her main goal in the shop is helping people and God knows she's dedicated to it and a hard worker! Alain =) is the last team member to have joinded the shop but hardly a stranger: you might know him from other shops, he's been into the music business for more than 26 years now. His motto's always been to help and respect the clients first. He's got a wide range of interests so ask him about pop, rock, punk, new-wave, soul, funk, disco, no-wave, latino, house or classical music... So I'd say: a definitive must-see in Brussel's music lanscape!
